Blush Tieks!

Finding shoes that look nice and allow me to be on my feet all day is always a tough task. One of the symptoms of my Lupus is arthritis, so unfortunately some days I feel more like an 80 year old lady walking around. Because of this, finding a perfect pair of shoes is like finding a needle in a haystack! It seems impossible, but you know they’re out there. I’m so glad I finally found Tieks. They’re comfortable, durable,…

Breeders’ Cup

Lets just get real here, this post is all about the day I met Taylor Lautner. Enjoy the other stuff too, but lets get the important stuff out of the way first. I don’t think anyone understands how much I loved Twilight growing up, and yes, I’m admitting to that right here on the Internet for the whole world to read. I was such a huge fan that when I saw him I knew if I didn’t ask for a…

Ermahgerd! Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino Review

I wasn’t going to believe it was real until I called my local Starbucks and spoke to the barista and she confirmed that they did indeed have the Unicorn Frappuccino. It seemed too good to be true that you could walk in and order anything with the word “Unicorn” in it. How many times in your life do you get to order something with the word Unicorn in it and not get a confused and disappointed look in return? Even…

Lauren James Easter Dress

When I was a little girl, I remember my mom and dad telling me all about how fun the Easter egg hunt was going to be. I got clobbered. Easter egg hunts for five-year-old little girls who are there to make friends and collect one or two eggs get massacred. Little children are ruthless when candy is involved (In my defense, no one told me there was candy in the eggs). My dad eventually ran out to the field, scooped…

Pretty Pretty Peplum

When I go shopping for tops, I appreciate a flattering silhouette there just like I do for my coveted fit and flare dresses. That’s one of the reasons why I adore this peplum blouse. The silhouette of this top is different from most peplums, as it is forgiving as well as flattering. A peplum shape will always be a gal’s best friend because it emphasizes her waist and flatters her curves at the same time- making it a perfect go-to! The fun and…

Anthropologie X WEAR

I’ve teamed up with Anthropologie and WEAR to tell you all about an AMAZING opportunity you aren’t going to want to miss. First off, you’re probably wondering what WEAR is. WEAR is like Instagram, but for fashion. You may have read about it before on Teen Vogue, Vogue, or Refinery 29. Though, as a user of the app, I’m here telling you it’s one of the coolest places to go to for your daily dose of fashion inspiration. It’s super…

My Atomic Valentine

Kentucky is known for its bourbon. We have bourbon trails, bourbon tasting, and around Christmas at least one family member receives a bottle (at least in my family). Buffalo Trace Distillery is one of the coolest bourbon distilleries in Kentucky, as it’s surrounded in lush, green landscape and smells of sweet bourbon cookie bread ALL THE TIME. In the colder months, it’s always a drag to have to cover up your outfit with some form of bulky outerwear just to…

Antelope Island

Let me start by saying that if there is a heaven on earth, Antelope Island is it. I wish we’d visited earlier in our trip because I probably would have demanded we go back every day and watch the sun set over the Great Salt Lake that surrounded the island. It was almost magical how pure everything was there. Bison, Antelope, and Deer all roamed free and the land was untouched except for a few roads to help you find…

Free All Adventures

I remember my childhood as the time where I didn’t understand why Ariel wasn’t treated like a real princess, what the big deal was with Jesse McCartney, and why I had to have fifty AR points by the end of the week. The thing about our childhoods is that they are all adventures. We play pretend, we dream, and one day something reminds us of the days when we used to dream and be adventurous on a daily basis. For…

The World, the Bridge, and the Vest

I’m lucky to live in one of the few states that still has covered bridges. The Switzer Covered Bridge near Frankfort has been restored over the years, and on the outside it’s like any other covered bridge; charming, barn-like and inviting. On the inside, though, it’s as unique as they come. Covered in questionable graffiti, it’s a really awesome place to head out to if you’re looking for a short road trip from Lexington (about 30 minutes). NOTE: DO NOT…
