A Feast For Shorts

If I were on death row, my final meal would be the loaded pulled pork tots from Feast BBQ and a bourbon slushy. They’re crunchy, savory, and sweet -I really don’t know how they do it. I’ve never had tots like that anywhere else, and the fact that they get slathered in BBQ sauce and topped with perfectly smoked pulled pork and creamy coleslaw makes them to die for (no pun intended). The bourbon slushy is every bourbon lover’s dream drink. It’s not too strong and it comes in amazing seasonal flavors. My favorite is the peach tea, which literally tastes like you soaked your peaches in bourbon, AKA perfection!

Finding a good pair of shorts is always tough because most of the time they either ride up or make you look like you have a diaper butt, and no one wants any of that. When you finally find a pair that doesn’t do that long checklist of things you hate and actually looks AWESOME, you kinda wanna tell everyone you know. These Lauren James high waisted shorts are amazing in part because they’re so versatile! I don’t know about you, but if something is going to be taking up space in my closet, I wanna be able to wear it a million different ways. You can totally dress these shorts up with a top like mine from Anthropologie or if you’re going for a more casual look, they look great with t-shirts. Also, how stinkin’ adorable are those ruffles?! BONUS: they have pockets!

Lately when I’ve been getting ready and want to top my look off with a pair of wedges, I’ve been reaching for these Sorel ones. The front laces and the bands on the side add such a fun and rugged vibe, but they’re still super versatile- especially in the beige color. They’re also surprisingly comfy and have super grippy soles on them; which are great if you’re a bit clumsy like me!
