“I have nothing to wear!” – Me, looking into an overflowing closet.
You know the moment. You can try on everything you’ve ever bought, and it just doesn’t fit the night’s occasion. Whats worse? Nice dresses usually cost a FORTUNE. Keeping a couple of affordable backup looks tucked away in your closet is a game-changer.
This dress is fun and modern with lacy details and little bitty cutouts along the neckline and waist. I’m in love with the blush pink color, and how ’bout that low cut back and a deep V neckline?! It’s a little bit sexy, but doesn’t make you look like you’re about to go clubbing. The cinched waist is flattering, but not uncomfortably tight (which is important if you plan on doing things like, you know, sitting down).
For jewelry, I’m wearing my most adored pink pieces, like the coral stacking ring and the mystic rose pendant necklace from Ann Revere Jewelry. The necklace helps balance out the deep V neck, and adds a little bit of sparkle.
I’m obsessed with this this black maxi because it’s completely adjustable and feels like a dream on my skin. The material is super cool and perfect for summer. It has an open back, but the top is adjustable so you can make the dress as secure as you want. The crisscross back detailing is fabulous (and you could probably wear it a ton of different ways). And I love the side slit because it’s the perfect way to show off your shoes!
These Adrianna Papell pumps are my own personal Cinderella slippers. Wearing them makes me feel just like a princess. They’re so sparkly, and when the light catches them there’s a rainbow effect!
Just like a little black dress, every gal needs a little black handbag for a night out. I’m not the kind of girl who owns a lot of handbags, but I love Kate Spade’s look and quality. Every handbag I’ve ever owned by them has lasted years beyond anything else. This one caught my eye because of the bow detail, and sold me on the convenience of doubling as a cross body.
