Lauren James Easter Dress

When I was a little girl, I remember my mom and dad telling me all about how fun the Easter egg hunt was going to be. I got clobbered. Easter egg hunts for five-year-old little girls who are there to make friends and collect one or two eggs get massacred. Little children are ruthless when candy is involved (In my defense, no one told me there was candy in the eggs). My dad eventually ran out to the field, scooped me up and grabbed me a few eggs. Here I discovered there was candy inside (it was melted). If there’s one thing I enjoy more than anything about the Easter holiday- especially the egg hunt, is getting to pick out my Easter outfit.

Easter is one of the best holidays to shop for because it’s finally warm enough to wear a dress all on its own! I’m wearing the Livingston Solid Seersucker Dress by Lauren James and if it doesn’t scream southern charm, I don’t know what does. How fun is this bow on the back?! The tasteful open back of this dress is wrapped in an adorable bow that’ll to make hearts melt and adds to the fun feminine aesthetic of the dress. How great is the super flattering combination of the always-becoming sweetheart neckline and fit and flare silhouette? On Easter I’m totally going to be eating all of the Peeps and drinking all of the Ale-8-one, and no one will be able to see my food baby because the fit and flare silhouette is going to be doing it’s job. BONUS: It has pockets!

Believe it or not, my clutch is actually vintage. It was my Aunt’s back in the sixties, she used it on her wedding day and has kept it in pristine condition ever since. She passed it along to me, and I couldn’t resist pairing it with this dress as it adds an extra bit of charm.
